Casting call for students interested in theater! Come audition for the First United Methodist Church Drama Ministry Team's Winter production of 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever'!
In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history.
The crowd-pleasing comedy features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and lots of laughs.
We are looking to cast 8 girls and 9 boys with ages ranging from upper elementary to high school for this delightful 1 hour presentation. All within this age range are encouraged to audition.
Auditions will be a cold read from sides. You may also email dramadirector@firstchurchstcloud.org for sides in advance.
The 1983 movie adaptation is on YouTube if you want to get an idea of the style of show.
Rehearsals will take place at the church during November (off Thanksgiving week) and December. The schedule can be found in the discussion section for this event. All roles will not be required to attend all rehearsals.
Performances are Dec. 12, 13 and 14 at 7 pm.
